Escape Room Trip

As part of the BTEC Level 2 Teamwork and Personal Development course run at the KS4 site, our students attended an Escape Room to test their resilience, communication, problem-solving, cooperation, and commitment to completing challenges.
Two groups undertook two different themes, one was an escape from a creepy carnival and the other was a quest through an ancient tomb to recover lost treasure. The students were unbelievably well-behaved and positive throughout. Teacher Mr Dent described the trip as ‘ the best group we have taken for teamwork, working positively with one another and including and encouraging cooperation’. Each group had 60 minutes to solve a variety of clues, riddles, puzzles and challenges to escape the room and complete their task. Both groups were successful and were able to use their experience as evidence for their coursework of the active participation they undertook.
